After graduating from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Interior Design, Barbara worked with prestigious
interior design studios in Minneapolis and Washington D.C. While living in Washington she passed the
National Council for Interior Design Qualification examination (NCIDQ) and became a professional member
of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

In 1985, Barbara established her own interior design firm in Minneapolis, Whitney Bayber Interiors, Inc.
She relocated her company to Santa Fe in 1993 while continuing to work with clients in Minneapolis, San
Francisco, Phonix and Dallas. While the majority of her clients are now located in Santa Fe, she continues
to travel to client projects.

She believes great Interior Design is a result of collaboration between client and designer, builder and
architect. The interior designer's role is to visually interpret the client's needs... calling upon her education
and experience to create an environment that is a reflection of the client's lifestyle and dreams.

Barbara currently serves as President of the New Mexico Interior Design Board and has been invited
to serve on the Iowa State University, College of Design, Interior Design
Advisory Board.

She is an award-winning interior designer. Her projects have been published
in national, regional and local publications.
